Athletic Trainer-Gravette High School
The Athletic Trainer will provide athletic training services to the student athletes (7th-12th) in Gravette Public Schools under the direction of the team physician or by written referral from a physician, and in accordance with the Arkansas state athletic training practice act. Athletic training services include the prevention, recognition, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries or illnesses, as well as the organization and administration of exercise, conditioning, and athletic training programs. The Athletic Trainer will also work closely with coaches, staff, and administration to sustain and improve the success and outcomes of our student athletes and athletic teams.
Athletic Trainer-Conway Regional
Athletic trainers are responsible for prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries. They also work with team physicians to provide appropriate treatment and rehabilitation for athletes who are recovering from injuries as well as implement/monitor return to play protocols. Other duties may include education of coaches, athletes, and parents, ordering equipment and supplies, and maintaining accurate and up to date records on all injuries.
Coordinate and organizes the daily Athletic Trainer functions with the Athletic Director and coaches at the School District. They will need to timely complete all reporting requirements for the School district and Conway Regional Hospital.They will serve as an ambassador for Conway Regional Health System, embodying the values of both organizations to the School District. They are expected to meet the school’s professional, clinical, technical, communication, and documentation requirements and standards and to make decisions based on established National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) guidelines.
Athletic Trainer-Van Buren School District
Recognize, evaluate, treat and rehabilitate participating athletes who have suffered a sports injury or illness
Attend athletic team events and additional special events as directed (in district and out of district)
Attend daily team practices and be available by phone when not on campus
Maintain documentation and records of student athlete injuries and treatment plans
Ensure school insurance claim forms are completed and distributed
Work cooperatively and communicate effectively with all coaches, students, parents, healthcare providers and community
Work with athletic trainer and coaches to design and implement Emergency Action Plans
Make return to play decisions as appropriate
Assist with the purchase and inventory of supplies/equipment
Provide first aid and basic life support as needed
Conduct training for coaches and athletes on athletic injury prevention and youth sports safety
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer and/or Athletic Director
Athletic Trainer-St Bernard’s Hospital/Wynne High School
The Athletic Trainer facilitates the management and provision of care of injuries to a physically active person as defined in the state practice act with the direction of a licensed physician. The term includes the rendering of emergency care, development of injury prevention programs, and providing appropriate preventative devices for the physically active person. The term also includes the assessment, management, treatment, and referral of the physically active person whose conditions are within the professional preparation and education of a certified athletic trainer. The term also includes the use of modalities such as mechanical stimulation, heat, cold, light, air, water, electricity, sound, massage and the use of therapeutic exercises, reconditioning exercises, and fitness programs. Communicates effectively.
Sports Medicine Coordinator
Nashville High School is seeking a Sports Medicine Coordinator for grades 10-12. The Coordinator will teach the Career and Technical Education courses. This position requires a 625- Sports Medicine technical permit. This person would be the lead athletic trainer for Nashville High School. Other responsibilities include teaching multiple classes on the CTE Sports Medicine Pathway and scheduling and organizing the athletic trainer interns.
