25TH AATA STATE MEETING & SYMPOSIUM
The Arkansas Athletic Trainers' Association (AATA) is turning 25 years old!!
April 15-17 brings us to our 25th Annual State Meeting & Educational Symposium. 25 years! Wow! A lot has happened over this time, especially regarding the AATA's efforts to improve health care for the physically active people of Arkansas.
Make plans to join us at the Wyndham Riverfront in North Little Rock! This is the site of the first AATA meeting back in 1987! If you haven't attended a meeting in a few years, please consider this your personal invitation to come to THIS meeting!
Our 25th State Meeting will feature a strong educational program (11 CEUs, plus 4 on Friday) that is focusing on concussion management issues and other athletic health issues, as well as a celebration of the athletic training profession in Arkansas.
Here are the weekend plans, by bullet points:
- Friday April 15:
o Executive Board Meeting, 8am-12:30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend!
o Concussion Management Seminar/IMPACT Training Course, 1-4:30pm:
4 CEUs and if you are employed in the high school setting you can get a
free 1 year license from IMPACT
o Young Professionals Committee (YPC) Social, 7pm: Dickey-Stephens Park
- Saturday, April 16:
o Registration, 7:30am
o Educational Program 8am-5pm
o Committee Meetings 5pm-6pm
o AATA Welcome Reception/Hall of Fame Celebration, Arkansas Sports Hall
of Fame @ Verizon Arena, 6:30pm-8:30pm. Guests are welcome!
- Sunday, April 17:
o Registration, 7am
o Educational Program, 8am-12pm
o AATA Business Meeting NATA/SWATA Forum, 12pm-1:30pm. We are
electing a new President-Elect to our Board, so we need your vote!
o Awards Luncheon, 1:30-2:30. This is the one time we get to honor
our fellow ATs!
